Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

The Department of Public Welfare provides utility assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). One may apply through services at the DPW home COMPASS website, or call 215-560-1583.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (Food Stamps)
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is the new name for the Food Stamp program. This program provides funding for individuals from low-income households to food. A debit card (known as an EBT card or Electronic Benefits Transfer card) with a fixed amount of funds is provided to the recipient which can be used at grocery stores to buy food. Almost all food is included except for pre-prepared foods. Toilet paper and other non-food groceries are not included in this program.

Pennsylvania's Autism Mini-Grant
The “Autism Mini-Grant Program” through the Bureau of Autism Services (BAS), may offer mini grants of up to $500.00 to support individuals and families that are living with ASD. Contact www.autisminpa.org for further information. Please also refer to the Department of Public Welfare website.
